Milo and Maddie came to me by word of mouth - a friends recommendation, which is how a lot of my favourite commissions begin. Two little dogs, painted together, with one of them no longer here.
Keeping a happy face
Painting more than one pet in a single piece lets a family keep them as they remember them, together. Painting two small dogs side by side is its own puzzle - matching the light, the scale and the mood so they sit as naturally on paper as they did in life. It is some of the most meaningful work I do, and word of mouth brings me a lot of it, because people who have felt what a portrait can do tend to tell the people they love.
“We miss one of our little dogs happy face every single day.”
If you have lost one of a pair, or want several pets in one portrait, I can bring them together on the same page, painted with the same care.
